Monthly Board Meeting Minutes

October 8, 2013

 

Board Members Present:

Patricia Willingham- President

Judi Davenport- Vice President

Heather Pike- Secretary

Margaret Pittoti-Treasurer

 

Guests:

Homeowners from 7032 Bradwood Ct.

 

Convening: The meeting was called to order at 7:37 p.m. at the Phillips School, 7010 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA 22003.

 

  • Minutes from September 10, 2013 meeting will be provided and approved in November.

 

Open Forum:

  • A homeowner from 7032 Bradwood Ct. presented the board with a plan to prevent water from flooding his home during heavy rains. The board requested he put his plan in writing and to notify his immediate neighbors that would be affected by the work. The board will discuss his proposal with our grounds and maintenance company and the board will inform homeowners on Bradwood of the work that will be done.

 

Officers Report:

 

President:  Pat said the new snow contract was okayed via email by the majority of the board members. The snow contract will be done by Professional Grounds. Pat informed and provided the board with a letter concerning a homeowner conflict. As a result of the letter, the board will look at the compliant procedure. Pat said a homeowner that is in ARC violation signed a letter for September and she is checking to see if the homeowner received the 2nd notice.

 

Vice President:  Judi discussed the lights: Dominion will be out to stake the new lights and homeowners made suggestions. Judi fixed a parking space and gave Leona receipts for reimbursement. Due to Janet’s departure from G & M chair, Judi asked a homeowner if he would fill in the position of grounds and maintenance for a year or until the board can find a permanent person. The homeowner said he needed some time to think it over and he will let her know his decision soon.

 

Treasurer:  Maggie went over assessments and discussed Henry’s Towing. She called Henry’s twice and left messages. Maggie confirmed we have 24 hour towing and will send the phone number via email.

 

Budget: Leona asked for the Schwab account documents from Pat. The board and Leona went over the 2014 budget. The budget will be finalized on the next board meeting.

 

Adjournment: the meeting adjourned at 9:55
