September 7, 2006 Special Board Meeting

A special meeting of the Board of Directors was held on September 7, 2006 at 7013 Leestone Street, Springfield, VA 22151.

The meeting was convened at 7:45 p.m. and immediately went into Open Forum. Since no homeowners were in attendance, the Board moved immediately to discussion regarding proposed trash contracts.

No definitive decision was made on a trash contract. The Board agreed to continue to clarify outstanding questions on the terms of the proposed contracts. The Board has still not received a contract proposal from PDS. It was determined that they have had ample opportunity to provide one and that if we did not have one by the next special trash meeting (14 Sep 06) PDS would receive no further consideration as a potential waste management service. It was determined that a potential trash service will be selected at the 14 Sep 06 meeting. The standard or basic contract will then be sent to the Leewood attorney for review while the Board negotiates with that company in an effort to get the best possible contract deal. Additionally, AAA accounting discrepancies were discussed.

MOTION: A motion to pay AAA for September based on a review of AAA rates and to continue using AAA on a month-to-month basis until at least November 2006, or until a decision is made with regard to a new contract/trash company is reached, was seconded and approved unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m. A follow-on meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2006.
