--- NOTICE
FROM THE BOARD---
July 17, 2011
In
spite of our best efforts, notices are still being removed from
the sign boards next to the mailboxes. Notices about the concrete
work on Leebrad Street were posted on Friday. On Saturday, one notice
had been removed from upper Leestone Street and the one on Bradwood
Court had been partially torn from the Board. This is either being
done by children (defined as up to age 18) who are not being taught
to respect other people’s property or more than likely by
a homeowner who has a malicious intent to disrupt the community.
Property Owners’ Association Act states:
“The
board of directors shall establish a reasonable, effective and free
method, appropriate to the size and nature of the association, for
lot owners to communicate among themselves and with the board of
directors regarding any matter concerning the association.”
To
communicate among themselves, homeowners and residents can use the
message board on our website www.leewood.us, communicate by telephone,
email, letters or personal visits.
The
Board uses five main methods to communicate with homeowners: the
website, the sign boards by the mailboxes, door to door deliveries,
the newsletter and individual mailings. The Board also communicates
on a one to one basis with homeowners by email when they email the
Board.
Since
the sign boards by the mailboxes have been compromised on several
occasions and since the Board does not consider door to door deliveries
or individual mailings for every issue that comes up as “reasonable”
or “free”, from this point on the main method of communicating
to residents will be through the LHOA website, the LHOA newsletter
and the Mailbox message sign boards.
It
will be the responsibility of homeowners to regularly check the
website for information. The newsletter will continue to be delivered
door to door as in the past as well as being posted on the website.
We will endeavor to put a “heads up” column in the newsletter
giving notice of future events that will affect the entire community
with approximate dates.
Current
information will be posted on the sign boards. Only in very extreme
instances will items be delivered door to door as the volunteers
on the Board have limited time to do this. We will continue to mail
those items required by law, such as the annual assessment notice,
to individual homeowners.
Thank
You for your cooperation.
