Editing Your Message Board Posts

When you enter a new message on our message board, you type in your message in a white box similar to the one shown above, and then click the Preview/Post Message button. You then get a new screen. The top of the screen is labeled "Preview: New Message" as shown in the snapshot above. This allows you to see your formatting, and perhaps catch some spelling errors.
If you have adjustments you want to make you go to the white box below the preview area which is marked as "Revise your Message" . After changing your message, which often necessitates scrolling in that white box, you click the Preview/Post button again. You MUST do this. A new preview screen will display, and you can see how the message is shaping up. You can go through this process as often as necessary, until you are finally satisfied, and then you click the "Post this message" right below the pretty display. You MUST do this if you want to post your message.
Please note if you have done all this and then still catch an error, you may still edit your message for a while. To do this go to where you see the message that you posted displayed on our message board. There are two symbols in the upper right hand corner. One looks like a printer, and the other looks like piece of paper with a pencil poised above it. Click that icon and you will be able to edit your message. There is a time limit on this type of editing as people may have seen your un-edited version which might cause confusion. Again, you can edit more than once but every time you edit it puts in a "edited by" statement. You might want to delete all but the last one so it doesn't look like you can't make up your mind! If you posted anonymously, it is not recommended that you do this as your true user name is displayed. If you are not registered you cannot edit your message.
Have fun posting to our message board!
