Annual Meeting Minutes

Board Members Present:
Pat Willingham- President
Heather Pike- Secretary
Janet Rourke- Vice President

Guest: Bob Nelson spoke about gutter issues from a neighbor’s home and its affecting his roof.

Convening: The meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm at the Phillip School, 7010 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA 22003

Approval of past minutes: May minutes were approved.

Open Forum:
Officers Report/Updates

President- Pat said people are commenting on the sweeping and how nice the community looks. She is trying to get one more sign for the "Go Slow". Pat received a letter from planners and engineers about Leewood Nursing Home. A homeowner sent an email to Pat regarding their drainage issue and she will send it to the board via email.

Vice President- Janet discussed hanging wires in the trees. Al said there is a Fairfax office that takes care of this issue. Janet asked for tickets for inoperable car. Trash Company has raised their rates. Janet went over the following in Dayna's absence; Dayna sent the lawyer homeowners with ARC violations. Board discussed going forward on a lien. The board agreed to move forward on the lien. The self help fence will be installed June 18th. A trash issue was discussed. Pat suggested having a letter sent to the violating homeowner as a cease and desisting order. The other idea was to send an ARC letter. The message boards will cost 4,476 for 8 boards and installation. Motioned passed for message boards. A homeowner will be sent to court due to delinquent assessments. Janet asked about the trash bags. Send a letter regarding trash to the homeowners and post a notice with an effective date. Board agreed to the trash letter.

Committee Reports:

G & M:
Al walked the streets and took pictures. He recommended road repair for upper Leestone, resurfacing it and the part to get to the circle is worse. Al suggested that every year we should crack seal on the thorough fairs and streets need it. The other bad are is upper Leebrad. Areas by drains need to be fixed. Janet recommends to mill, pave curb and sidewalk in upper Leestone and to patch 2 places. Al recommends putting down concrete to fix the road by the drains and overlay it with asphalts (Leestone court and Leebrad). The board agreed to Al's recommendations and getting the estimates.
